Sabudana khichdi Recipe – Tapioca Sago – Vrat – Video

Sabudana Khichdi is a snack for Vrat especially in Navratri. Its a healthy treat, good for stomach and hunger. Use Sendha Salt or plain white salt.

  • 1 Cup Sabudana (Tapioca Sago)
  • 3 Number Potato (Boiled)
  • 1 Cup Peanuts (Roasted)
  • 1 Tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 Tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Tsp Lemon Juice
  • 3/4 Tsp Salt
  • 10 Number Curry Leaves
  • 2 Number Green Chili
  • 1 Tsp Coriander Leaves (Chopped)
  1. Soak Sabudana in water for 6 hrs. and then drain water.
  2. Finely chop boiled Potato and Green chili.
  3. Keep aside 2 tsp of Peanuts for later use and grind rest of the peanut into a fine powder.
  4. Add Sabudana and Peanut powder in a bowl and mix well.
  5. Add Salt and mix well.
  6. Take a pan, add oil and heat it on medium flame.
  7. Add Cumin seeds and roast. Add Potato and Green chili and cook for 5 min. Cook on medium flame.
  8. After 5 min., add Curry leaves and Sabudana mixture and mix well.
  9. When Sabudana turns light golden brown. Switch Off the stove.
  10. Add 2 tsp Peanuts which we kept aside earlier, chopped Coriander leaves and lemon juice. Mix well.
  11. Sabudana Khichdi/Poha is ready. You can eat it in your Navratra Vrat also.
  1. Serve it hot.
  2. We do not recommended its refrigeration. It will spoil its taste.
