Papad Ki Subzi Recipe – Video
Papad as you know is an add on element to any meal. But today, we are making it as main course dish and bringing it to the limelight.
- 2 Tsp Green Chili (Chopped )
- 3 Tsp Coriander Leaves (Chopped )
- 2 Tsp Ginger (Grated)
- 2 Tsp Garlic (Grated)
- 1/2 Tsp Red Chili Powder
- 1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
- 3/2 Tsp Coriander Powder
- 1 Tbsp Oil (For making Tadka and Enough Oil for frying the Papad)
- 1/2 Tsp Salt
- 1/2 Tsp Cumin Seeds
- 3/4 Cup Curd (Unsweetened )
- 1 Cup Water
- Before frying the Papad, we need to cut them in 4 pieces.
- Simply fold the papad in half and make 2 pieces and then again fold it to make two more small pieces.
- Add enough Oil in a pan to fry Papad. Heat Oil on high flame.
- Add papad and fry them. Flip them in between so that they achieve same color all over.
- The same way you can fry rest of the Papads.
- To make Tadka: Heat Oil in a pan on high flame.
- Add cumin in hot Oil. Let it fry until it turns golden brown in color.
- Once done, add grated Ginger & Garlic, mix well. Cook on low flame for about 1 min.
- Once they become slightly golden brown, add Red Chili Powder, Turmeric Powder & Coriander Powder. Mix well and cook on low flame for a min.
- Add Green chili & Curd. Mix well and cook for 2 min. on low flame.
- After 2 min., add Water and mix well. Cook for 5min. on low flame.
- After 5 min., add fried Papad.
- Use soft hands to mix gravy with Papad and make sure that you don’t break the Papad.
- Add Salt & Coriander Leaves. Mix well.
- Switch off the stove. Papad Subzi is ready.
- Note: Papad already contains Salt. So, keep it in mind while adding salt to your taste in this subzi.
- It is ready to enjoy with Poori,Naan, Parantha or Chapati.
