Gobi Besan Paratha Recipe – Video

Gobi Besan Paratha is a healthy combination with high protein content. Light tawa fry is better. Cauliflower is mixed with flour to make crisp breakfast.

  • 1 Medium size Cauliflower
  • 1/2 Cup Gram Flour (Besan)
  • 1 Cup Wheat Flour
  • 2 Tsp Oil
  • 2 Tsp Milk
  • 1/4 Tsp Garam Masala
  • 1/4 Tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Mango Powder
  • 1/4 Tsp Salt (To taste)
  • 1/4 Tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 Tsp Coriander Leaves
  • 1 Inch Ginger
  • 1 Small Green Chili
  • 1/4 Tsp Carom seeds (Ajwain)
  • 1/4 Cup Water (or Enough for making dough )
  1. Take up Cauliflower and cut its flowers along with leaves.
  2. Grate Cauli-flowers along with its leaves (if any).
  3. To make dough, Take a big container. Add Wheat flour, Gram flour and Grated Cauliflower.
  4. Grate and add Ginger, Coriander leaves and Green Chili.
  5. Add Carom Seeds, Salt, Red chili powder, Garam masala, Coriander powder, Mango powder, Oil and Milk.
  6. Now make a dough without adding any water as milk, oil and Cauliflower also have some water content.
  7. Add very small amount of water just to make the dough come up easily if required.
  8. Dough is ready. For making paratha, we need dry wheat flour and oil for frying.
  9. Take a pan/griddle and heat it on high flame.
  10. Take a small portion from dough and roll it with rolling pin to give it a desired shape.
  11. Place the paratha on heated pan and let it cook for 1 minute. Cook it from both sides before applying oil.
  12. Apply oil and cook on medium flame until golden brown from both sides.
  13. Crisp Besan Gobi paratha is ready to serve. Enjoy it with Butter and tea.
  1. Serve it hot with desi ghee or butter on top.
  2. Do not refrigerate paratha. It would not taste good later.
