Amla Sabzi Recipe – Side Dish – Video

Amla Sabzi is a unique way of consuming Amla. Amla needs no introduction for its goodness. It is pretty useful for having strong and glowing hair and eyes.

  • 250 Gms Amla
  • 1/4 Cup Water
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Oil
  1. Heat Oil in a pan on high flame.
  2. Once it is hot, add Cumin Seeds and fry until they turn golden brown.
  3. Once Cumin is done, Add Amla, Turmeric and Salt. Mix well.
  4. Add 1/4 Cup (Our 1 Cup = 240 ML) water. Mix well again and then cover it with lid. Turn the stove on low flame.
  5. They will take approx. 10-12 minute to soften. Stir occasionally to avoid burns.
  6. After 10 min., pinch them with the help of spatula to check their softness. If they are hard, let them cook for 2 more minute.
  7. Once they have softened, add Red Chili Powder and Turmeric Powder. Turn stove on high flame.
  8. Stir continuously until all water evaporates.
  9. Once Water has evaporated, switch off the stove.
  10. Amla Sabzi is ready. You can enjoy these Amla for 3-4 days. Store them in refrigerator.
