Sorry but rice is not there in this diet plan on 5th or 6th day...it's only on 7th day...I also did this same mistake consuming rice on 5th and 6th day but later came to know that it's only for the 7th day.
For vegetarians, you can have as many as 5-8 tomatoes(medium) and kidney beans or chickpeas or tofu or paneer(little portions).we can also have wonder soup if desired.
For first 3days of this diet, yes u can have unlimited fruits and veggies but from 4th day u have to limit your quantity of food intake....we can have soup and veggies(6th day onwards) as we want.
This diet plan is really effective but only when followed religiously.

The idea is to get as much protein as possible with lesser quantity of food. The vegetables won't be able to give you much protein.
Rice should be avoided too. I didn't, but if you can, you should.

Beans contain high amount of protein and fiber and hence will make your stomach feel full, even with small portion.

I'm wondering how much weight you gain back if you eat a healthy, well-balanced vegan, low fat, low salt, low (processed)carb diet afterwards? Could it be possible to keep the weight off then? Along with exercise, of course. I ask because I'll be going on vacation where I'm going to be wearing a swimsuit quite a bit. Don't want to suddenly puff up because I'm gaining back all of the weight I lost.

In reply to <a href="https://www.inhouserecipes.com/gm-diet-day5/#comment-3426">seema</a>.

Yes, you can eat chickpea with brown rice. But, I would advice to restrict the quantity of brown rice to 1/2 cup (120 ml).

On day 6 also, keep the quantity of brown rice low. You can certainly eat paneer but make sure it was made with toned/ fat free milk.
Normally, paneer is made with full cream milk and is not good for diet.

Yes, you can eat chickpeas, egg whites and curd (make sure it is made with skim milk/ Double toned milk as called in India).
You can make any combination of these in any meal. Also, make sure you keep the portion size (that you consume) small. Do not over-eat.

In reply to <a href="https://www.inhouserecipes.com/gm-diet-day5/#comment-3205">saurabh_r_digi</a>.

yep..I gained it back primarily because I did not restrict my diet to limited calories. Also, I feel that the primary reason behind GM diet's weight loss is water loss and not fat loss.
So, as soon as you start eating salt, your body will start accumulating the water and you will see your weight rising again.

My weight is at 163 pounds at this time after i lost 23 pounds with exercising and diet control. The change in food habits have helped a lot keeping it in check.
