Hi Sakshi,
Somehow, this comment was missed by us earlier. I know, I am responding to it late, and if you are still there, here is what we fell:
1. Stainless steel bowls are not good for baking as per our experiments.
2. You should use Oven safe bowls.
3. We do not recommend using salt as the base either. We have not tried one and hence can't really say what could have gone wrong there.

Hi Nisha,
We would not recommend using a stainless steel bowl as it would get too hot and may not bake the cake well.
It is always better to use an Oven safe bowl for baking.

In reply to <a href="https://www.inhouserecipes.com/molten-lava-cake-in-cooker/#comment-4006">JUJAL</a>.

Hi Jujal,

If and ONLY if the tupperware bowl you want to use, is marked as 'MICROWAVE AND OVEN SAFE' should be used for baking in cooker.
If not, there are HIGH chances that it will melt during the process.

Also, if it is made with plastic, we would recommend to NOT use it as plastic tends to release chemicals when exposed to high heat and that's not safe for health.

On the base questions, it is good if it has holes, as this helps in pushing heat upwards for easy baking. Even if the holes are not there in the utensil you are using, it is okay. It won't make any difference to the timing in the recipe. Yes, you can use stainless steel plate as the base.

What about tupperware bowls instead of baking pan?

Whether the base must have holes? Because the sieve which you used is stainless steel. so can I use steel plate as a base?

Hi,
1. We do not recommend using salt as the base.
2. Stainless steel utensil is not good for baking. It would get too hot and cake would be spoiled.
3. Yes, cooker whistle has to be removed. It is mentioned in above recipe clearly.

Let us know if you need more information.

Choco lava in cooker! Awesome recipe.

Instead of sieve or idli stand as a base, can I use salt? If yes, whether the timing will remain the same? I don't have baking pan or aluminium utensil, can I use stainless steel bowl? Whether gasket and whistle of the cooker has to be removed?
