Aloo Matar – Dhaba Style Tadka Recipe [Pics]

Today’s special Dhaba Style Tadka Aloo Matar recipe is requested from one of my viewer. I made it Spicy, keeping the tadka of Dhaba in mind. Dhaba is the name given to roadside food stall.

They make everything with lot of spice and Oil.

  • 2 Number Boiled Potato (Each 5 Inch in size)
  • 1/2 Cup Peas (Frozen or Fresh)
  • 3 Tbsp Coriander Leaves (Chopped )
  • 1/2 Cup Tomato (Chopped )
  • 2 Number Green Chili (Chopped )
  • 1/2 Tsp Mango Powder (Amchoor)
  • 1/2 Tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 Tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 3 Tbsp Oil
  • 1/4 Tsp Garam Masala
  1. Heat Oil in a pan, on high flame for about 3 minutes.
  2. Add Cumin seeds and wait until they gets light golden brown in color.
  3. Once done, add Tomatoes and Green Chilies. Keep the stove to high flame.
  4. Add Red Chili Powder, Mango Powder, Garam Masala, Salt and Turmeric Powder. Mix well.
  5. Add Peas and Potatoes. Mix well and turn the stove to medium flame.
  6. Add Water and let it cook for 4 minutes.
  7. After 4 minute, switch off the stove.
  8. Dhaba Style Aloo Matar is ready to enjoy with Lachcha Parantha.
