Unless you have been living under a rock, you have probably heard that smoking is not great for your health, not to mention your wallet.

But if you need yet another reason to quit, look in the mirror: Tobacco ruins your LOOKS!!

  1. The chemicals in cigarette smoke, including nicotine, carbon monoxide, tar and lead reduce blood flow to the skin, reduce circulating oxygen, and break down skin's collagen and elastin.
Elastin is a protein found in the skin and tissue of the body. It helps to keep skin flexible but tight, providing a bounce-back reaction if skin is pulled. Enough elastin in the skin means that the skin will return to its normal shape after a pull. It also helps keep skin smooth as it stretches to accommodate normal activities like flexing a muscle or opening and closing the mouth to talk or eat.
All that leads to extensive wrinkling around the nose and mouth - and don't be surprised if i say that its permanent.
In 10 years of smoking, you can add up to another 10 years of wrinkles on your face.
  2. Smoking causes severe discoloration of your teeth. You know the yellow, in some cases brown look?
  3. Ever seen the smokers with the dark yellow brownish nails? Wonder how they got that way? Well, if you said smoking you are right.
  4. Smoking also reduces the water content of the skin's outer layer, making it appear drier and more fragile.
  5. If that isn't bad enough, smoking is also associated with increased risk or psoriasis, cancers and hair loss.

  6. If you want a longer and more beautiful life, just puff your butt out.
