Did you know that Earth is composed of 70% water and still only 0.08% is good for human drinking?
This came as a surprise to me also but is a fact which we all should know and work toward saving water and our beautiful planet.

Here are some tips to save water:
1) Fix leaky faucets and pipes. Just a small drip can use up to 20 gallons per day, and a larger drip can use even more. A few cents to buy the items necessary to repair the pipe or faucet or the few dollars to replace a pipe or faucet will save more money in the long run.
2) Reduce the length of your shower by just a few minutes every day and you can save close to 1000 gallons of water per month. You can also install low flow or flow restrictor showerheads, to save even more.
3) Use dishwasher instead of hand washing: Dishwashers are programmed to make optimum utilization of water to wash the full load of utencils whereas when we drain utencils with hand using running water, we normally waste galllons to just wash couple of them. Also, it is equally important to not run your dishwasher without full load, else it might waste water.
4) Don’t let the water run while washing the car: Get the car wet, then turn off the water while you soap the car down. Turn on the water again for a final rinse.
Or better, use a commercial car wash that recycles water.
5) Flush less water in your Pot: Flushing your toilet cannot be avoided but the amount of water flushed in each use can be controlled and minimized to make best use os available water. Install flush systems with multiple (Mostly two) options of flushing according to the need. One option generally flushes half the water than the other. This will help you save around 400 gallons of water each month.
