  1. Apply Mehndi Oil (Generally available in market) before you apply Mehndi on your hands and legs. It is okay even if you do not apply this oil. the other steps should be good enough to get the desired depth of color.
  2. Get the Mehndi applied on your body part. Mix 1 lemon juice and 1 tsp of sugar in a bowl and try to dissolve sugar in lemon juice. Apply this mixture on your hands and legs with the help of a cotton bud, after your Mehndi dries up a bit.
  3. Approximately after 3 hours, your Mehndi will get dry, then you can remove it by lightly rubbing it with both of your hands. Do not apply water to remove it.
  4. Apply Mustard oil on your Mehndi properly and leave it for 8 hours (preferably over night). Do not put your Mehndi under water at all.
After 8 hours, you will see your Mehndi color is quite deep and dark.

OR if you do not want to wait for 8 hours with mustrad oil on, you can try this:
  5. Heat some cloves in a pan and take the smoke of the clove on your Mehndi. This will help your Mehndi achieve dark color.
